Getting out of a bad date…

Have you guys heard about this?

Apparently Virgin mobile have a service for fake ‘rescue calls’. If you find yourself in a sticky situation on a date headed nowhere, you can dial a special number and listen to a number of pre-recorded excuses to leave your date really suddenly.

I’ve been in some really weird situations, but I don’t know if I would use the service… Sounds good though.

Do you know if this service is available in Oz yet? And if it is, would you use it?

That sounds great, I'd totally use that service! but i guess it depends on how much its costs...

What kind of excuses do they give?

I can never think up something realistic to get out of a weird situation with someone. I have a friend who always starts a date with the line, 'i'm sorry, I'm feeling really sick today! I hope i can make it through the night!' - then she has her excuse if things go pear shaped later. Wish i could think ahead like that!
