My friends organised a date with this girl (who will remain nameless). We’d met a couple of times at parties and that. Just general acquaintances.
I should’ve realised from the start. She was standing at the bar and I walked up to her and she looked at me really blankly. It went a little like this:
‘Hi Samantha, I’m Dave, remember me?’
A good five to ten second lag...
‘Hi Dan! How are you sweetie? Sorry, I’ve had the worst day!’
Throughout our ‘date’ she proceeded to call me everything EXCEPT my real name: Dan, honey, sweetie, babe, Don.
I didn’t see her again, but I see on Facebook that she has a boyfriend named Dan…
Case of mistaken identity? >_<
